4 simple ways to maximise reward this Ramadan

dua in ramadan

Ramadan is a whole month of multiplied reward for good deeds. And as we all try to increase our worship and good actions, it can sometimes become challenging to keep up with; especially with all the big targets.

So, here are 4 simple things you can do consistently during Ramadan, to maximise your reward no matter what you’ve got going on:

1. Repeating “Subhaan-Allaahi wa bihamdihi, Subhan-Allaahil-Azhim”

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: There are two statements that are light for the tongue to remember, heavy on the scales and are dear to the Merciful:

“Subhaan-Allaahi wa bihamdihi, Subhan-Allaahil-Azhim”

“Glory be to Allah and all praise is due to Him, glory be to Allah The Greatest”

(Bukhari and Muslim)

It’s only a few words, so it’s really easy to say repeatedly. Whether you can free up a few minutes a day to recite, or even during work or household chores, this will go a long way.

2. Make dua for others

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH), said:

“No Muslim servant supplicates for his brother behind his back except that the angel says: And for you the same.”

(Muslim)

We all have a list of things that we want or need, but this Ramadan lets dedicate some time to make dua for others. So not only will you get the reward for being generous and selfless, but you’ll also have the angels make the same dua for you. Win-win!

3. Helping others

Many of us will be in lockdown for the next couple of months, which means Ramadan might get quite intense for the ones cooking, cleaning and taking care of everyone at home.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH), said:

“Whoever relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, Allah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever helps ease one in difficulty, Allah will make it easy for him in this world and in the Hereafter.”

(Muslim)

This year try lending a hand or easing the workload for someone, knowing that by helping someone else you’ll attain help from Allah.

4. Automate your donations

Laylatul Qadr is better than a thousand months (97:3)

Laylatul Qadr is the most significant and rewarding night of the whole year, so it’s one we definitely shouldn’t miss.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:

“Look for Laylatul Qadr in the last 10 nights of Ramadan.”

(Bukhari)

So we should exert ourselves more in worship and good deeds on each of the last 10 nights, to benefit from the reward and blessings of Laylatul Qadr.

MyTenNights helps you plan for it, as it automates your donations across the last 10 nights of Ramadan, so you never miss giving on every potential night for Laylatul Qadr. On each night, you’ll receive a confirmation email notifying you when your donation has been processed.

We hope these tips have been beneficial, and we pray we all catch the most rewarding night of the year; Laylatul Qadr.

Ameen.

Automate your donations now, so you don’t miss giving to charity on Laylatul Qadr
