Ramadan Duas

ramadan duas

Ramadan is a time to increase our worship. This could be in the form of additional sunnah and nafl prayers or through an increase in the money we donate to the needy.

One of the simplest ways we can connect to our Creator continuously throughout the month, is to recite and memorise some new du’as. Most scholars agree that du’as can be said at any time and so they are particularly useful for those who are exempt from fasting, to be able to experience the spirit of Ramadan.

In order to help you achieve this, you can find some of the most well- known du’as below:

Suhoor Du’a:

Trans: Bisawmi ghadin nawaytu min shari ramadhaan.

Meaning: I intend to keep the fast tomorrow in the month of Ramadan.

Du’a for Opening the Fast:

Trans: Allahumma inni laka sumtu, wa bika aamantu, wa ‘alayka tawakkaltu, wa Ala rizqika aftartu.

Trans: Rabbana hab lana min azwaajina wa dhur-ri yaatina qur-rata ‘aa yunin waj ‘al naa lil mutaqeena i-maa maa.

Du’a for our Parents:
